Amulets (تميمه  - tameemah, pl. تمائم - tamaa’im) are things made from pearls or bones that are worn on the  necks of children or adults, or are hung up in houses or cars, in order to ward off evil – especially the evil eye – or to bring some benefits

Hajj, sacrifice, cutting of hairs and nails

  • Someone asked if we must not cut nails and hairs during first 10 days of Dhul-Hajjah.

To answer, let’s start from beginning. People who live outside Makkah, their Eid celebration reflect their participation in happiness of hajis and sharing in great Sunnah of Ibrahim (as) with the Hajis.  All rituals of Hajj is for Hajis. We simply share the occasion of Day of Nahr with Hajis even if we are not there. This becomes obvious when one reads all the Shariah around hajj and sacrifice. Hence, most of evidence in this context comes from Rituals of Hajj.

Doing good deeds on behalf of others

Someone asked if we can do good deeds on behalf of others, e.g. pray Quran on behalf of deceased parents. There is no such evidence that the Prophet (pbuh) or the companions or the salaf or kalaf ever prayed Quran on behalf of deceased people. Similarly, there is no evidence to support that one can give his reward to another living person.

Once the person is dead his book of deed is closed. That means the dead can no longer make corrections to his mistakes that he made on earth. His time is up. He had ample opportunity to perform his duties, if he didn’t he is accountable for it.This is easy to understand, one cannot really eat food on behalf of other or one cannot really drink water on behalf of other.

System of Taghoot (دينِ طاغوت ) - Part 1

Taghoot (طاغوت) is not just a problem in our day and age, rather it’s a phenomenon that existed ever since Satan refused to obey Allah (swt) and became the first rebel. Then when humans were sent to Earth to establish a society here and be a representative of Allah (swt) and upraise His Deen as way of living to establish harmony and justice. Satan who swore to take his revenge from all human due to the jealously caused to him by the honor that Allah (swt) gave to Adam and his disobedience of Allah to honor Adam, that subsequently resulted in his humiliated departure from company of Allah (swt).

Murabha vs Musharka

Some one asked about Meezan bank. I have heard about Meezan Bank is approved by Mufti Taqi Uthmani. The actual haram / halal can only be understood once I can read their contract agreement. In general, here are the principals:

  • If you take loan from bank to buy house and you return their loan with interest. This is absolutely haram. E.g. they give you Rs 100000 and you return then 110000 in installed. The extra 10,000 is absolute form of Riba that is haram by words of Quran

Asking from the dead

Some one asked regarding Durood Tunjina. They narrated a story: Once there was a pious man of the name of Shaykh Moosa Zurair travelling on a ship when it started to sink due to a heavy storm.[8] In his sleep he saw the Most Beloved Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him). The Beloved Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) instructed Moosa Zurair to recite Durood Tunjina 1000 times. Moosa Zurair awoke from his sleep and proceeded to recite Durood Tunjina. As soon as he had finished reading 300 times the storm subsided and the ship was saved. This Durood is recommended during days of calamity, turmoil and distress. Seventy times a day is essential for relief from our problems and difficulties.

The question really is if a person is in serious trouble where the ship is sinking, what should he be doing to get  help?. And the answer is as simple as “ask Allah swt for help” and if radio is working, call 911. If the trouble is so severe that death is evident, then proclaim shahada until dead takes over.

Riba is Outlawed

Allah swt has outlawed “riba” and the Prophet pbuh explained to us what is “riba”. So, we do not need the dictionary of this filthy man to translate Arabic to us. Good that in Urdu we have word “sood” so this filthy man couldn’t fool any one in urdu.. so he is trying his sick mind to twist English.

The problem with these knuckle heads can’t understand Shariah. It is about ta’at (obedience) to Allah swt and his Messenger.  So, when we hear an order of Allah swt or His Messenger, we obey it without any hesitation in heart, as it says “we hear and we obey”, and we do not find any excuses.

  • In response to : Banks are helping sharia make a back-door entrance (Tareq Fateh).

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan's religious view

“Sir” Syed Ahmed Khan (1817-1898)

By reading Syed Ahmed Khan’s view on Quran and Shariah one can easily conclude that he did not receive proper education in Shariah and he based his views mainly on his personal opinions and surrounding political environment in Indian subcontinent and his own personal political objectives. He openly rejected hadith (حديث) and Tafsir (تفسير). Instead he made Taweel (تعويل) and created his own interpretation of various Nus as he sees fit, often to please the British Masters. But as Allah (swt) says in Quran that if book written by Human you will find contradictions in it, hence, we find many huge contradictions in writing of Syed Ahmed Khan.
