A Word About Al-Jazeera News Channel

E-mail Print PDF

Al-Jazeera Channel is almost the best news channel in the world these days, as it has proven throughout the last few years and during the continues crisis situation that the Arab and Islamic world is going through, to be the most trustworthy and precise channel. This is some thing that All Muslims have to be proud of as it gives a practical example of the level of professionalism and precision that the Islamic/ Arabic business and work in general has to raise up to.

It is also a proud point, those Islamic hosts and news casters that used to introduce authentic and in-depth coverage of the news or produce a useful meaningful talk shows such as Tayseer A’alooni and Maher Abdullah (May Allah accept him into His mercy). Such reporters and news casters have added a dimension that Western News channels such as CNN, completely lacks; Emotional attachment and the feel of the relationship between the news and the caster of the news. This is being done in a professional way to more add to the authenticity of the news rather than making it subjective, contrary to CNN, where most of its anchors are Jewish or humble servants of the American Administration, such as Aaron Brown, Wolf Blitzer and Paula Zahn.

However, having said that, it is important also to state that Al-Jazeera is Not an Islamic channel. The identity of the channel is Arabic/secular, with a twist of Islamic orientation, we might add. It would be a big plus for Al-Jazeera if the decision makers of Al-Jazeera give it more Islamic identification. This would gain a lot of support from even broader audience and more importantly, the support of Allah swt, which we all need to succeed.

However, What we have just stated does not by any means demean the great effort and the professional product that Al-Jazeera is providing for its audience.
